Wooster issued a blunt warning to the CPT and the Haitian government. “The time has come for the CPT and other members of the Haitian government to fulfill their role in presenting a precise plan with a timeline for elections and political transition. Political positions are not for life,” the diplomat declared on Saturday, October 4, upon his return from a mission to the United States. This discourse, perceived as a signal of diplomatic impatience, reflects the increasingly firm stance of international partners, particularly the United States, who are concerned about the blockage of the transition process and the lack of political visibility in Haiti.
