Financial Market Modernization: BRH Trains Banks on Using the Central Securities Depository (CSD)

As part of the modernization of the Haitian financial system, the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) organized training sessions dedicated to the use of the Central Securities Depository (CSD) from February 11 to 13, 2026.

These intensive three-day sessions, aimed at banking institutions, sought to strengthen the technical skills of financial actors regarding this key infrastructure. The main objective of this initiative is to promote more secure, transparent, and efficient management of financial securities.

During this training, participants followed a practical and progressive program. The work notably focused on the administration of access and user profiles, the management of securities accounts, as well as the processing of main operations carried out on the primary and over-the-counter markets. To ensure perfect mastery of the tool, practical exercises were conducted to apply all the concepts covered.

Through this initiative, the Central Bank thus continues its efforts to equip financial institutions with the necessary skills for the effective use of the CSD, thereby contributing to the smooth functioning of the financial market in Haiti.

Furthermore, the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) announced that other training sessions are already scheduled for the coming weeks. These will be specifically designed to assist non-banking financial institutions in mastering this tool.
